Unlocking Bootloader
WARNING: Unlocking the bootloader will factory reset the device. Make sure to back up your data before continuing
- Enable developer mode by entering Settings. Find About Phone and tap on Build Number 7 times.
- Go back to the main page of the settings. From there, enter System and then Developer Options. Check USB Debugging. Check OEM Unlocking as well and follow the steps onscreen.
- Connect the phone to a computer. Run the command
adb reboot bootloader
. Authorize the computer if prompted - Unlock the bootloader by running
fastboot flashing unlock
and follow on screen instructions.
Entering Fastboot/Flash mode
- With USB Debugging enabled, run
adb reboot bootloader
or
- Power off the device. Turn it back on while holding Power and Volume Down
