The HP ProBook G9 (i3-1215U model) is a business-oriented laptop released in 2022. It features Intel's 12th-generation Core i3-1215U processor with 8 threads (4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), Intel Graphics (ADL GT2), and comes with 8 GB of RAM and a 256.1 GB NVMe M.2 SSD. The laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch Full HD display and has all the essential connectivity options. However, PostMarketOS (PMOS) is not currently supported on this model.

Installation

As PostMarketOS does not yet support the HP ProBook G9 (i3-1215U model), installation steps for PMOS are not available.

Mainline Work

Currently, there is no work being done to support a mainline Linux kernel for the HP ProBook G9 (i3-1215U model) in PMOS. Users who wish to run Linux on the device may need to explore other distributions such as Ubuntu, Fedora, or Arch Linux, which are more likely to be compatible.
