Installation

Using pmbootstrap

Follow Installation/Using pmbootstrap. When asked for the device's vendor/codename, select ayn as the vendor and thor as the codename.

Flashing to internal memory has not been tested, Instead install to a microSD card:

  • pmbootstrap install --sdcard=/dev/__your_card__

Changing bootloader to U-Boot

This device should use U-Boot to boot linux

  • Hold power button + volume down to reach the lk menu
  • Use the volume buttons to navigate to `Switch Boot Mode`
  • Press the power button to switch
  • The device should reboot and the Bootloader section should say Loader rather than Android
  • Press the power button to start u-boot

Notes

The close to mainline kernel and u-boot fork this port uses can be found respectively at:

Interestingly, this device comes with U-Boot already installed and allows switching between U-Boot and Android Bootloader.

Disk Encryption

Disk Encryption should technically work, the problem is the display currently does not work in the initramfs, therefore unl0kr cannot show, but this is untested.
