Update to Android 5.0
To get UEFI for booting postmarketOS, it is required to update to Android 5.0. First, make sure the tablet is fully charged.
If the build number is lower than
WW-188.8.131.52, download UL-K010-WW-2_2_33_144-user.zip and rename it to (or in case Asus fixed it, make sure the filename is)
UL-K010-WW-184.108.40.206-user.zip. Put the file in the root of the internal storage. A notification should appear which will start the update process. Make sure to charge the tablet before updating.
If the build number is equal to
WW-220.127.116.11, download the Android 5.0 upgrade file UL-K010-WW-12_10_5_11-user.zip, unzip it and put the zip inside in the root of the internal storage. A notification should appear which will start the update process.
- Install me176c-boot
Fedora+Xfce has been tested and boots up fine, with the use of me176c-boot and a USB-OTG hub. The Arch Linux liveiso disabled USB after roughly a minute.
|Y||Panel||Panel works, unknown type. In Xfce the highest pixel row contains the lowest pixel row with some horizontal offset, cause is unknown.|
|N||Touchscreen||Atmel mXT1664T2-C2U, there is a driver in mainline but untested|
|Y||USB||USB-OTG through charging port works, secondary USB-A port in dock doesn't work because the entire dock does not work yet.|
|Y||SD cards||MicroSD cards are recognized and can be mounted|
|Y||Internal memory||Can be accessed|
|Y||Intel Integrated Graphics|
