The COSMIC (Computer Operating System Main Interface Components) desktop environment. COSMIC is written entirely from scratch with no relation to current major desktop environments. It uses a custom toolkit called "libcosmic" that is based upon the iced toolkit and is written almost entirely in the Rust programming language.

system76 originally created COSMIC to replace their custom GNOME Shell extension collection also called COSMIC on their line of devices.
Installation
pmbootstrap init- Select
cosmicin the UI selection. - Install like normal.
