Category:System On Module

From postmarketOS Wiki

A System-on-Module (SoM) is a circuit board integrating core functions of a computer. It is often used as a development board for demonstration or prototyping, though it can be integrated as part of industrial systems in production too.

A SoM is similar to a SBC but it usually lacks common I/O (Input and Output) connectors like USB or HDMI and provides a way to connect to the internal peripheral bus instead. Unlike SBCs, SoMs are not fully functional computers but modules to combine with an I/O board.
