USB GPU (also known as USB graphics Adaptor) is type of gpu that allow video out over usb.

Common Issue

dri userland components missing

failed to open gud:/usr/lib64/dri/gud_dri.so

Under dri architecture , Userland components is needed by the gui to run. that userland components is provided by mesa driver kmsro (kmsro is for Render-Only GPUs like usb gpu, etc).

You will get a error message like that if the kmsro isnt present or kmsro dont support your usb gpu driver. In newer version of mesa , kmsro is builded into mesa by default. Also kmsro only support udl as of now.
