Common issues

Dri userland components missing

failed to open gud:/usr/lib64/dri/gud_dri.so

Under the DRI architecture, userland components are needed for most GUIs to run. These userland components are provided by the mesa driver kmsro (kmsro stands for "Kernel Mode Setting for Render-Only GPUs").

You will get an error message like that if the kmsro driver isn't present or kmsro doesn't support your USB GPU driver. In a newer version of mesa, kmsro is built into mesa by default. Also kmsro only supports UDL as of now.
