How to enter flash mode
There is a pinhole next to the volume down button, push a sim card extraction tool (or a paperclip) into the hole and hold it while booting the device.
Installation
Use pmbootstrap to build your own installation image. (does not boot!)
Then copy the SD card that came with the device (or check deepcomputing's youtube for the link) to another sd card (keep the original), remove the contents of the rootfs partition and copy the postmarketOS rootfs contents in there. Boot.
UART
One really bad delay was caused by the device having UART but it being under the back cover which is quite brittle and might break while taking it off.
