Installation
lk2nd is a secondary bootloader that provides a standard fastboot interface, which can be used to boot postmarketOS without Android boot
flashed or pmbootstrap flasher flash_kernel
.
- Download lk2nd-msm8916.img from Releases page on Github.
- Boot your phone to bootloader (fastboot) mode.
- Follow lk2nd instructions to install lk2nd. Basically flash it to the boot partition (
fastboot flash boot lk2nd-msm8916.img
) - Follow Qualcomm_Snapdragon_410/412_(MSM8916)#Installation to install postmarketOS.
Note: Enter lk2nd fastboot mode by pressing | after booting (this time wait until it vibrates then press !

There are 2 panel variants, and lk2nd is required to enable the panel.
Audio
Headphone microphone breaks sometimes.
Charging
smb1358-charger
driver is not available, so the charging is not controlled and there is no charging status reporting.
USB OTG
Another smb1358-charger
driver issue. It's currently unable to power up a usb device in mainline.
Acelerometer
Could be mc3230
, but the driver is not receiving interrupts at the moment.
It also needs to be implemented to have compatible entrys.
Ambient Light/Proximity Sensor
The driver for intersil,isl29044a
ambient light/proximity sensor is not available.
FDE
It's not possible to unlock with touchscreen or a keyboard connected via USB OTG at the meantime.
