The Google Tensor is the first consumer SOC developed by Google for use in their consumer class devices. The Tensor chip first appeared in the 2021 Google Pixel 6 smartphone. The SOC marks googles first step in developing its own in house hardware for its devices. A main focus of this SOC is Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning performance and efficiency. The Tensor chip shares many similarities to the Exynos 2100.
