If you have this device, it'll be very useful if you add extra information here. Like the kernel config, exact version of the Linux kernel used, upload waveforms and so on.
Mainline status
According to the kernel source code as released by Kobo, the device uses one of these chips for Wifi/WLAN:
- Mediatek MT7663. It has got support in mainline.
- Mediatek MT7668. It has got support in mainline.
- Mediatek MT6632. It hasn't got support in mainline.
Regarding Bluetooth, there is only one chip in the kernel source code and it seems to be the same MT6632. It seems that the chip is both Bluetooth and Wifi. It hasn't got support in mainline.
Since Kobo has released a single kernel for this device, Kobo Clara Color, Kobo Libra Color and some Tolino device, some device owner has to provide more information on what chip is exactly being used in each device.
A diff between Linux 4.9-rc8 and the provided kernel doesn't show anything else which mainline kernel hasn't got.
