  • Fastboot mode: From the boot menu, select fastboot with Volume Down.

How to unlock the bootloader

To unlock the bootloader on the OnePlus Nord 2, you first need to ensure that the device is running an older system version.

Note NOTE: If your Nord 2 is currently on OxygenOS 13, a downgrade to OxygenOS 11 (not tested on OxygenOS 12) will be required before proceeding.

Once the downgrade is completed:

1. Boot the device into Fastboot mode.

2. Connect it to your PC and execute the following command:

fastboot flashing unlock

3. A confirmation screen will appear on the phone. Press Volume Up to accept, and the bootloader will be unlocked.

Warning WARNING: Unlocking the bootloader will erase all user data and may void your warranty. Back up your data before proceeding.
