Installation

The Quartz64 A board does not come with any nonvolatile storage. You can either install the image onto an uSD card or there's a special connector that allows eMMC breakout board to be attached. It has also an adapter for USB port which enumerates it as a USB mass storage device.

You should now see the postmarketOS splash and the Quartz64 A will boot.

Bootloader

The device runs on the mainline `u-boot`. However it can't be stated it's FOSS as it has the binary blobs to initialize the LPDDR4 memory and for the Secure world the ATF binaries.

Apart from that the rest is FOSS
