Characteristics
The Codina TMO was T-Mobile custom device (thus "TMO") derived from Codina so it shared the same board file in the vendor code tree for example.
The Codina had a speed-reduced PRCMU firmware named "U8420" limited to 800MHz, and while the Codina TMO is based on the same firmware project and also reports that it is "U8420", it does not have the speed limit of the Codina, but executes at ~1GHz like other U8500 phones.
Installation
This device port has not been tested! If you try it out, please file any issues you encounter on the pmaports issue tracker and update this wiki page to reflect the actual status of the device. Thanks! |
The mainline kernel can only be booted through U-Boot, not directly with the Samsung bootloader. U-Boot is installed as intermediate bootloader on the boot partition, so it does not replace the Samsung bootloader entirely.
Boot into Download Mode using the NovaThor U8500 U-Boot installation instructions to install U-Boot.
+ + and follow theFinally, just follow the Installation guide.
