Variants

There are three variants of this tablet:

  • SM-T865 aka sm-gts6l, which has 256 GB flash and LTE (this one)
  • SM-T860 aka sm-gts6lwifi, which has 128 GB flash and only Wi-Fi (very similar)
  • SM-T66N which has 256GB flash and 5G, but runs on an other SoC

How to enter flash mode

Power off the device. Attach the tablet to any usb host device (eg. Computer). Power the device on whilst holding Volume Up and Volume Down. Do not let go until you see the download mode.


Installation

Using pmbootstrap

Follow Installation/Using pmbootstrap. When asked for the device's vendor/codename, select FIXME as the vendor and FIXME as the codename.

To flash the image to the device:

  • Enter flashing mode (see #How to enter flash mode)
  • Run pmbootstrap flasher flash_kernel to flash the kernel
  • Run pmbootstrap flasher flash_rootfs
