How to enter flash mode
Power off the device.
Press and hold + + until the download mode confirmation screen appears, then press to confirm.
Installation
The current development setup was created by flashing a custom boot image and writing a postmarketOS root filesystem image directly to the system partition from TWRP.
What works
- Booting
- SSH over USB networking
- Internet from USB networking
- Direct framebuffer drawing
- Basic touchscreen input detection
What does not work
- Wi-Fi
- GUI
- Pretty much anything else. (Yet)
Notes
The device can boot a postmarketOS filesystem from internal eMMC and can be accessed headlessly over USB RNDIS networking with SSH.
The built-in display does not show a normal graphical interface yet. The screen may remain on the Samsung Galaxy Young 2 boot logo even while Linux is running in the background, that is, until you start drawing with the framebuffer.
