How to Unlock Bootloader

Unlocking the bootloader is simple as it has the ability to enter BROM mode.

This requires MTKClient.

  1. Power off the phone. Make sure that it isn't plugged in.
  2. Open MTKClient's GUI (mtk_gui.py)
  3. Plug the phone into the computer while holding the Vol + and Vol - buttons. It should be detected and enter BROM mode.
  4. Go to Flash ToolsUnlock bootloader to Unlock the bootloader.

While you are here, you can make a full dump of all of your partitions and dump GPT.

How to enter Flash Mode

Due to the weird bootloader, you cannot enter fastboot, only fastbootd or BROM mode.
