How to enter flash mode
Shut down the phone completely.
Enter recovery mode with
+Use
/ to move up/down, and to select "Enter fastboot"Unlocking the bootloader
Install ADB and fastboot
Clone the MTKClient GitHub repository (tested on Windows and Linux, not sure about macOS)
cd into the directory in a terminal
Assuming you have Python installed:
Run the file mtk_gui.py
Completely power off the phone
Hold
+ and plug in USB cable AFTERWhen you see something like "Preloader - Jumping to 0x200000" in the terminal window, let go of the buttons.
Head to the Flash Tools tab, and click Unlock Bootloader.
Disabling Verified Boot
Reboot the phone into the bootloader (aka fastboot mode)
Run "fastboot flashing unlock"
On the phone, when prompted, push
and waitInstallation
There is no installing on the TCL dingus.
