From postmarketOS Wiki

Introduction

Not much to say, I've been following this project for a while, and have tried It ("The" OS) on several older devices. I know quite a bit about Android devices and have some spare time to edit the Wiki. Using samsung-serranove. Yes.

Note Note: Do not ask me to port Linux, or postmarketOS, or LineageOS, to the Apple iPhone 13 Mini (apple-iphone13m). I most certainly will not. This is your only warning. Proceed with caution.

Occupation

Currently focused on documenting the chaos that is Huawei. See Huawei P8 Lite (huawei-alice) for more information and a definition. Note that "occupation" is only a word, and does not easily describe It. Also see Samsung Galaxy S7 (samsung-herolte) for more. Also get fimiliar with it.

Note Note: It can feel like reloading a futuristic weapon. I agree with Samsung's taste in casing. Not with this SoC. Why not use a underclocked Snapdragon 800 or 600? And a denser display panel? "Serrano v3", anyone?!

Device list

Device Notes
Apple iPhone SE (1st generation) (apple-n69) A1723, runs IOS 15.8. Using a ~4Ah Li-Ion cell with aftermarket BMS. Original battery is weak but also works. Has checkm8 vulnerability. UI has funny bugs. It is present. Could be compatible with the generic iDevice port.
Huawei P8 Lite (huawei-alice) ALE-L21, runs LineageOS + OrangeFox. Ready for testing. 3Ah LiPo cell with original BMS. NFC is gone. Housing almost closes. The SoC is mainline. This phone is a mess. Joker360 got Android Oreo to work, at least.
OnePlus X (oneplus-onyx) ONE E1003, runs LineageOS + TWRP. Ready for testing. Rare. Does not boot lk2nd without porting. Could run mainline some day.
Samsung Galaxy A5 2015 (samsung-a5) SM-A500FU, runs lk2nd + pmOS v25.06 + TWRP. Repartitioned for pmOS. Ready for testing. Looks more like a Sony, if you ask me. Well supported.
Samsung Galaxy S4 (samsung-jflte) GT-I9505, runs crDroid Android + TWRP. Ready for testing. Boots lk2nd without porting, only display works! Classic design. Could run mainline some day.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Advance (samsung-ks01lte) GT-I9506, runs lk2nd + TouchWiz Android. Ready for testing. Boots lk2nd without porting. The SoC is mainline. Wrote the Wiki page and ported lk2nd. Classic design. Hot SoC. Could run mainline some day.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini LTE (samsung-serranolte) GT-I9195, runs lk2nd + DivestOS Android. Ready for testing. Weak battery. Supported in lk2nd. Classic design. Could run mainline some day.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Value Edition (samsung-serranove) GT-I9195I, runs lk2nd + TouchWiz Android + TWRP. Ready for testing. Weak battery. Limited UI choice for now, occasional mobile data issue. Classic design. Well supported.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition (samsung-jfvelte) GT-I9515, runs TouchWiz Android. Ready for testing. Boots lk2nd without porting, only display works! Classic design. Could run mainline some day.
Samsung Galaxy S5 (samsung-klte) SM-G900F, runs lk2nd + pmOS edge + TWRP. Ready for testing. Weak battery. Every browser crashes when loading a webpage. Bluetooth is cooked, nothing works. Not sure if mine is broken, firmware issue perhaps?
Samsung Galaxy S7 (samsung-herolte) SM-G930F, runs LineageOS + TWRP. Ready for testing. Does not boot pmOS! Downstream kernel/initfs hangs, or resets the device, depending on installation method. Latest firmware could be the cause. Needs investigation.
Samsung Galaxy SII (samsung-i9100) GT-I9100, repartitioned for pmOS. Ready for testing. Scary custom battery to make it usable. U-Boot does not run. The firmware is very annoying. I would like to run TWRP. It does not agree!
Samsung Galaxy S III (samsung-m0) GT-I9300, runs pmOS edge + TWRP. Ready for testing. Large aftermarket battery, around 3Ah. Classic design. Works well as a portable audio player. Plasma can fill up memory and slow the UI to a crawl if you push it.
Samsung Galaxy S III mini (samsung-golden) GT-I8190, runs U-Boot + TouchWiz Android. Ready for testing. Weak battery. Classic design. Suprisingly fast. Can work as a basic server or WLAN remote in the current state.
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 (samsung-skomer) GT-S7710, runs U-Boot + pmOS v25.06. Repartitioned for pmOS. Ready for testing. Fancy and indestructible calculator. GNOME actually works fine on this thing!

Testing

Anything in my #Device list is fine to get softbricked. I do not care about reinstalling "The" OS to any of them. I also have some boards availible for riskier testing. Including an i9300, that is currenty trapped in "Das U-Boot". It also technically works.

Note Also, note that my custom i9100 battery can be jammed into the stericsson devices, should the need arise.
