My name is Mete, I was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. Since childhood, I've loved working with computers and phones, and now I'm focusing on phones. My first ROM experiment was with a Lenovo K6 Note, and I liked it. Then I had other phones, a Huawei G8, whose bootloader was locked, and I wanted to unlock it. The problem was that Huawei had discontinued its services in 2018. I tried to bypass it using EDL, but I failed. Then my grandmother gave me a Huawei GR5 2017 as a gift, and its bootloader was also locked. I tried again for days, and then PotatoNV came to mind. I put the phone into recovery mode, which is similar to EDL, but I don't know how to explain it, and it unlocked on the first try. I thought, why didn't I think of that before? Then I got a Vestel Venus V5 from a friend, which has a Snapdragon 427 processor. Of course, I didn't know the password. I did a factory reset from the recovery screen, but I forgot about the FRP lock. I said I couldn't be bothered with EDL. There was a tool to break FRP, so I used that, but when I opened the phone, the bootloader was also unlocked. I was surprised but happy. Then I set up the phone. I checked the internet and found that nobody had ported anything to this phone, so I wanted to do it myself. I ported TWRP, and it worked fine on the phone, but while installing the stock firmware with Qfil, I broke the battery socket, and now it's unusable. I'm that unlucky. My Lenovo K6 Note also died because of my mistake. I compiled EDK2 for it, but I made a mistake somewhere, I don't remember where, and installing Qfil from EDL doesn't work. It seems to think it's another device. It's been a long time since I tried it, so I don't have a phone to develop right now. I'm currently looking for a phone online, but I do have phones: Huawei G8, Huawei GR5 2017, Redmi 8. These are the ones that have experienced this, but the bootloader won't unlock. The GR5 is problematic because I installed the Android 7 Dload file, and the phone again thinks it's another phone. It doesn't accept stock Android 6. It's currently running Android 7 with problems. The Redmi 8 doesn't recognize the error, so the bootloader won't unlock. It didn't work with EDL either. So sometimes I make big mistakes. I tried compiling a KVM-supported kernel for a Vestel Venus V5. After putting the kernel into boot.img, the phone... It started to crash, meaning it failed. If the phone hadn't died, I would still be trying. I want to share my attempts with the community, so I'm trying to find more phones
