Custom Recovery: TWRP

This custom recovery can only be installed from fastboot, as the bootloader has no exploit. To enter fastboot mode, a fastboot cable (A.K.A. "Fire factory cable", "Motorola factory cable") is needed. This cable is the same as a normal micro USB cable, with the 4th pin ("USB OTG ID", "Mode detect") shorted to the 1st pin (5v).

TODO:

  • fastboot cable instructions
  • walkthrough of directions from the CyanogenMod guide [1]
