How to enter flash mode

In a turned off state, press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power then press Volume Up to continue.

How to go back to TWRP

If you're stuck in system loading and you can't enter the Download mode, press Volume Down + Power to force shutdown. At reboot (on Samsung logo and vibration), press Volume Up + Power until the recovery splash comes out.

Installation

Like other heimdall phones, heimdall doesn't seem to like the subpartitions in the SYSTEM partition. It's recommended to use the android recovery zip installer with TWRP on the phone, but you can also install to an SD card/USB Drive and flash the boot.img using heimdall.

NOTE: On firmware versions later than Dec 2021, TWRP may have graphical glitches and/or bootloop (unbrick by draining/disconnecting battery). It is recommended to downgrade your firmware version.

Installing with recovery

$ pmbootstrap install --android-recovery-zip
$ pmbootstrap export

Then copy the zip to an SD card or similiar and install it from TWRP.

Installing to external SD/USB

$ pmbootstrap install --sdcard=<SDCARD/USB LOCATION>
$ pmbootstrap flasher flash_kernel
