From postmarketOS Wiki

After my grandpa gave me his old HP IPAQ h2200, I installed Gentoo Linux on it. Problem: Was a downstream kernel from handhelds dot org, I think ca. 2.6.7, before dtb were introduced into the kernel. Only Gentoo Linux worked with that kernel, which did not have great support for mobiles. Angstrom Linux by handhelds dot org was not maintained anymore. I started mainlining, working on the display driver. But in the end, I gave up.

Now 10+ years later, I found pmos. I hope it survives long. I have not tried pmos out yet.

Current Phones/Touch Screen Devices:

HP IPAQ h2200 (downstream only, Windows CE, haret.exe bootloader, Gentoo on SD Card) HP IPAQ H5550 (untested, but I think it was mainlined by someone) Motorola A780 (though I could have lost it...) Fairphone 5 (running stock android) Galaxy S9+ (screen defect) Galaxy Note 9 (running stock android) Galaxy Note 10+ (current main phone, running lineageos) Galaxy A6+ (just bought to try out pmos)
