HiSilicon Kirin
Appearance
Family of Huawei-manufactured chips, included in almost every Huawei ARM device. Very minimal mainline support is present, but often the proprietary nature of these SoCs makes it difficult to run anything beyond downstream kernels.
Cleaner AOSP kernels can be found, with their own limitations, on the OpenKirin page.
Devices
HiSilicon Kirin
Some SoCs have their own dedicated pages.
WiFi
See WiFi#HiSilicon_WiFi and the packages of HiSilicon phones with working WiFi for reference.
UART
In order to make UART output useful (i.e. to be able to see kernel logs), you may need to run fastboot oem uart enable in order to enable UART output. Keep in mind by default you may not be allowed to execute such command due to fblock being locked (see also: Unlocking_Bootloaders#Huawei).
